Christine Cowan-Gascoigne,LISW-S, MSSA, MBA Announces Opening of Private Psychotherapy Practice: TLC Center for Psychotherapy

PEPPER PIKE, OH  (FEBRUARY 15, 2010) – Chesterland resident Christine Cowan‐Gascoigne today announced the opening of her private psychotherapy practice, the TLC Center for Psychotherapy, located in Pepper Pike.  As part of The Leadership Company – a leadership development and consulting  firm founded by Ms. Cowan‐Gascoigne in 1990 – the TLC Center for Psychotherapy offers adolescents  and adults outpatient mental health services focusing on anger management, anxiety, depression, family  counseling, grief, school adjustment issues and workplace effectiveness issues.

Ms. Cowan‐Gascoigne’s interest in the relationship between leadership, personal effectiveness and  mental health grew out of more than a dozen years of experience in marketing and strategic planning, first  as a consultant at McKinsey & Company and then as Director of Public Affairs at The Cleveland Clinic.   Repeatedly, she observed that issues such as anger management, anxiety, and other issues related to  one’s mental state dramatically impacted a person’s ability to be effective at work and at home.

• working with clients and staff at the Hanna Perkins Center for Child Development in Shaker Heights  and then Hopewell (a therapeutic farm community for adults with serious mental illness) in  Mesopotamia, OH towards her goal of establishing this private practice.

Ms. Cowan‐Gascoigne has a Masters of Science in Social Administration (MSSA) from Case Western Reserve University, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the Harvard Graduate School of Business Administration, and a BS in Economics from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Her corporate clients have included Eaton Corporation, McKinsey & Company, Stanford University, Case Western Reserve University, The Johns Hopkins Health System, University Hospitals Health System, The State University of New York, Leadership Cleveland and The United States Coast Guard.
